Welcome to the website of FENIX International School Hirakata.

Our school values diversity and provides a warm, safe environment where children can learn happily and confidently. Through high-quality bilingual education, we nurture children’s curiosity, creativity, and self-confidence.

Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) developed by the Australian Education Authority, which supports the balanced emotional, intellectual, and physical development of each child.

We offer tailored, attentive education through our Pre-Kinder class for children aged 1 to 2, Kinder class for ages 3 to 6, an after-school program for elementary students, and a Saturday school program open to all ages.

Additionally, our professional foreign instructors lead specialized programs in languages, arts, science, music, and physical education. Utilizing our well-equipped facilities, we also provide a variety of extracurricular activities to support children’s broad learning and growth.

Admission information

FENIX INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL HIRAKATA

Free information sessions are held for anyone interested in learning more about the school and facilities, or considering entering the Kinder courses.

These information sessions provide the opportunity for parents to learn more about our Pre-Kinder and Kinder programs and curriculum.

The new school years begins in April, however if there is space available in your desired class, you may enrol at any time.

  1. EXPERIENCE・BRIEFING SESSION

    At Fenix, we are holding free tral lessons and briefing sessions. Please refer to the briefing information on the website for the current schedule.

  2. APPLICATION ACCEPTANCE

    Please fill out and submit the application form and required documents that will be handed out at the briefing session.

  3. ENTRANCE INTERVIEW

    After receiving the application, we will conduct an interview to ask about your child’s allergies, health conditions, and daily habits to ensure their safety and well-being while in our care.

  4. ADMISSION PROCEDURE

    For those who have passed the interview and have been accepted to enter the Kindergarten, we will guide you through the admission procedures and orientation.

  • Classrooms

    Each classroom at FENIX is designed with a unique class color theme—light green, pink, light blue, purple, and yellow—creating an international environment distinct from traditional Japanese preschools. To ensure the safety of our youngest students, we also provide cots designed to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), so your child can nap safely and comfortably.

  • ENTRANCE

    Step inside, and you'll be greeted by FENIX's stunning entrance - a space that feels like you've been transported abroad, creating an inviting international atmosphere.

  • Outdoor Play Equipment

    At FENIX, we have a variety of play equipment, including slides, jungle gyms, and tunnels, all set within an artificial grass area. Since all the equipment is installed under a roof, children can play safely and comfortably even on rainy days.

  • Restrooms & Showers

    We understand that privacy is important, especially during personal moments. That’s why all restrooms at FENIX are private stalls equipped with heated seats, providing a comfortable and secure environment for your child every day. In case of accidents or sudden illness, we also have shower facilities available to ensure your child’s well-being.

  • Wooden Deck

    Our stylish and sophisticated wooden deck space is the perfect setting for outdoor activities. On sunny days, children can enjoy a picnic with their lunchboxes here, and during the summer, it becomes a hub for water play and other fun activities.

  • Exterior of the Facility

    FENIX is conveniently located just a 6-minute walk from Makino Station, on the 1st and 2nd floors of the GALA Hirakata Building, right next to McDonald's. For your convenience, there is parking available on the left side as you enter the McDonald's drive-thru.

  • School Bus

    At FENIX, we operate a school bus service every day. Our driver is a former police officer who always prioritizes safe driving. The bus is equipped with GPS, allowing you to check its current location at any time, and it also has a child safety alarm system to prevent children from being left behind. The service area includes Ko-rien, Hirakata-shi Station area, Kuzuha, and Yawata."
