CLASS INFORMATION

At FENIX, we primarily follow various programs from Australia’s Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), which focuses on being, becoming, and belonging. Our curriculum aims to develop a high level of reading, writing, and communication skills while nurturing each child’s unique talents and individuality. All lessons are taught 100% in English by experienced native teachers, which is essential to our approach. Additionally, we incorporate a daily Japanese lesson. By learning both English and Japanese simultaneously, children not only develop a bilingual mindset but also grow into true global citizens able to confidently express the differences between Japan and the world.

  • SKY CLASS

    SKY CLASS 3 Years Old

Children enjoy various activities like art and sports while learning English through the Jolly English phonics program.
From age 3, they build strong phonics skills, clear pronunciation, and gradually improve their communication from words to sentences.
They also learn to read and write the alphabet and simple words.
Japanese lessons cover hiragana, katakana, and numbers.
  • RAINBOW CLASS

    RAINBOW CLASS 4 Years Old

In the RAINBOW Class, children develop the ability to clearly express their thoughts and feelings in both English and Japanese.
Using the Jolly Phonics curriculum, we focus on listening and speaking skills and teach children to read and write words of 3 to 5 letters accurately. We also help them build more complex sentences and improve their fluency in everyday conversation.
By the end of the class, children can read and understand English books.
At the same time, they work on basic math skills and practice writing hiragana, katakana, and numbers from 1 to 10, creating a balanced foundation for future learning.
  • STAR CLASS

    STAR CLASS 5 Years Old

Students reach a native level of English proficiency, conversing effortlessly with native speakers fluently in English while reading books with correct pronunciation and writing complete stories using their own imagination with confidence and accuracy.

Their achievements are highlighted through speech presentations that showcase both their language mastery and self-assurance.

At the same time, they acquire the skills needed for entrance exams and a smooth transition to elementary school, while refining their Japanese by mastering hiragana and katakana and practicing addition and subtraction.
  • 土日(祝)コース

    Saturday Program

This course is ideal for families whose children usually attend other kindergartens or nurseries but wish to experience an international school on Saturdays, or for those who would like childcare on weekends in addition to weekdays.
Similar to our weekday Pre-Kinder and Kinder programs, children enjoy learning in English through an EYLF-based curriculum taught by native-speaking teachers.
We use a small-group, mixed-age setting that fosters compassion and social skills through interactions with children of different ages. Individualized guidance is also provided according to each child’s English level, so beginners can participate with confidence.
  • アフタースクール

    Elementary After-School Program
    Eligibility: Grades 1–6
    15:00-18:00 / Week day

To ensure children continue to thrive in an English-speaking environment beyond graduation, FENIX offers a dedicated after-school program for students in 1st grade and above.

This program is designed to sustain and further develop their high level of English ability, with a strong focus on speaking, listening, accurate pronunciation, reading, and overall communication skills—areas that can be difficult to nurture in a traditional Japanese school setting.

The program is open to both FENIX graduates and children from other schools."

What is Play Based Learning?

At FENIX International, we believe that children learn and develop most effectively through their play and social interactions.

Play is a means for exploration of the world for a child. Children use play to make meaning and connections. A play-based learning approach means your child will learn and develop an array of skills at their own pace and through their own interests.
From finger painting to creating unique shapes using building blocks, we work with your child’s inquisitive nature and desire to have fun.
These activities are designed to nurture curiosity and are a crucial part in developing social skills, motor skills and setting the foundations for their language and numeracy education.
Therefore, our curriculum is based off play-based learning and interest-based learning and follows the EYLF (Early Years Learning Framework).

  • Arts&Crafts(製作)
